This 11 mm eddy current proximity sensor system is designed to produce a voltage signal proportional to the distance between the probe tip and a conductive target surface. The system includes a probe, coaxial signal cable, backup nut, and preamplifier/front-end unit.
It can support static displacement measurements and dynamic measurements such as vibration. Supported performance data includes a 0.5-4.5 mm linear range, corresponding to a 4 mm measurement span, and sensitivity of 3.94 V/mm ±10% when evaluated in 0.5 mm increments.
The listed voltage output range is approxima tated for testing at +18°C to +27°C with a 10 kΩ load and a 42. CrMo/AISI 4140 reference target. The probe is listed for operation and storage from -50°C to +180°C, while the preamplifier range is -35°C to +85°C.
